The Happiest Days of your Life

At the end of World War II, the pupils and teachers of St Swithins, a South
Coast girls' school, are relocated to alternative accommodation as their own
school has been a casualty of wartime bombing. Thanks to a bureaucratic mix-up,
they find themselves sharing the quarters of Hilary Hall, a boys' school in
Hampshire.
